Want to reduce your shops energy consumption by 30%?

Today’s day and age barista’s are demanding greater control over their espresso machine and manufacturers are having to adapt their approach to accommodate this. Those giving greater control over the cup quality.

Owning a high end espresso machine isn’t cheap and running it efficiently is neither. There isn’t a single study out there that compares the energy consumption between manufactures and their respective models, but our estimation would be approx 10-55 kWh per day. This is a pretty high consumption rate considering cost of utilities has sky rocketed past few weeks. This increase had many coffee shop owners worried about their future in the industry and how they can minimize this extra cost and whether this can be past over to consumers.

Espresso machine manufacturers are now working hard to reduce this energy consumption of their machines. On face of things it sounds easy as majority of the heat loss occurs as heat so they might consider better boiler technology, smaller boilers and smaller elements.

Today we are seeing more and more coffee shop owners both existing and new start ups are focusing around energy consumption being the top priority and second being technology that the espresso machine brings.

Manufacturers likes of Victoria Arduino were the first to respond to their customers demands and brought out the new Victoria Arduino Eagle One machine which the brand reports to lower carbon footprint from energy consumption by 30%.

Coffee Omega’s welcomes changes that will impact our customers in a positive way and the plant we live in, so lets all get together and tackle this carbon footprint!
