My last pre-breaker got warped when my shear-plate snapped, so I needed a new one and ordered this. On first fitting it didn’t seem to fit properly and I was wondering if I’d warped the axle as well – but on revisiting I’ve come to the conclusion that this is just a matter of manufacturing tolerances and time – my EK is coming up on half a decade of age and this new pre-breaker needed a bit of jimmying before it fit smoothly.
Just a hint to anybody replacing theirs for similar reasons to not immediately disregard, my EK almost went to the tip for no good reason!
